How to Recreate the Spa Experience

There is nothing better than spending the day at the spa relaxing. However, going to the spa on a regular basis can become quite expensive. Luckily, recreating the spa experience in your home is actually quite easy. It never hurts to set aside some me time on a weekly basis to indulge yourself with relaxation in the convenience of your home. If you need to purchase any personal care or beauty products for your home spa day, check out stores like Bath and Body Works and Origins. Here is how you can recreate this indulging experience in your home:

Select a Room

The first step in recreating the spa experience in your home is to select a room for your home spa day. You want to select a room that you feel comfortable in and can relax in. The room that you select should have a couple of small tables and a large, comfortable chair that you can sink into. If the room that you select has any clutter, you might want to clean it up before your home spa day. Clutter is only going to stress you and you want to be able to enjoy your experience while being stress-free. Putting a small bouquet of flowers, food and beverages in your home is a great way to replicate your favorite spa, as well.

Pedicure

It is best if you begin your home spa day with a pedicure. The best way to give yourself a home pedicure is to place a foot tub in your relaxation room and fill it with rose petals, lukewarm water and the scented soap of your choosing. After soaking your feet for at least 15 minutes, you can use a loofah to gently scrub and cleanse your feet. Once you are done, simply dry your feet off with a clean, cotton towel. You can choose to warm your towel up with a hair dryer if you want to. If you like nail polish, you can finish off your pedicure by applying toe separators to your feet and painting your nails. While this is a personal preference, you may also want to apply a scented moisturizer to your feet.

Facial and Manicure

The best way to end your home spa day is with a facial and manicure. Before you give yourself a facial, you may want to tie your hair back in a ponytail. Once you have washed your face with warm water, you can begin your facial by applying a mask. To finish your facial, apply toner, moisturizer and eye cream to your face. You will need to soften your cuticles by soaking your hands in some water water before you begin your manicure. You can then use the tool of your choosing to push your cuticles back. The best way to finish off your manicure is by applying scented oils or lotion to your hands.
