Is a Garden Storage Bench Right For You?

When choosing garden dcor, many people forget about storage spaces. If you're looking for something to spice up your garden as well as provide hidden, uncluttered storage, then a garden storage bench may be right up your alley. Not only does it keep unattractive garden tools and supplies out of sight, it also provides unique dcor for your garden area. Spending anywhere from $50 to $1000, a storage bench can be yours. With the large array of style choices available, there is a little something for everyone!

Garden storage benches come in all shapes and sizes. Backless benches look like a normal trunk or chest that opens up to reveal a storage area. These are usually made out of plastic or wicker, but wooden ones can be found as well. There are also fancier alternatives, such as benches with arms and backs that contain the storage drawers or cabinets underneath the seats. These can come with seating cushions or without, and come in many different styles and designs. There are even benches that have sliding tops, but these are more obvious as to what they're used for.

There is also a great variety in the materials that a garden storage bench can be made out of, from wicker and plastic to wood, metal, or even stone! Metal benches are not as common as the others, but they can be found if that is what you desire. Wicker and plastic types are generally cheaper and easier to clean and maintain, so if you're looking for a cheap, modern storage bench, this would be a good option. Stone benches are very uncommon, and usually have sliding tops to reveal the storage space below. If you're looking for an old, classical feel in your garden, grab a few of these. Wooden storage benches are by far the most popular or stylistically diverse, and there are many different types of wood to choose from. It is your choice as to what will compliment the design and aura of your garden area.
